FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Spacer of the hip joint consists of a head, neck, leg made of bone cement with a metal core (carcass) located inside. Spacer has a sequentially connected transceiver, control unit, stepping motor and commutator, three cylindrical tanks with different antibiotics, the output of each of which is connected, by means of a tube, to the corresponding input of the commutator. Each tank has a piston, a tube is connected to the input of each tank and opens onto the surface of the spacer in the region of the lower part of the leg. Spacer has a series-connected battery and a pump whose second input is connected to the second output of the control unit, the second input of which is connected to the output of the battery. Output of the commutator, via the tube, is connected to the third input of the pump, to the output of which a tube is connected to the surface of the spacer in the region of its neck.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the effectiveness of treatment of paraprosthetic infection by increasing the number and types of antibiotics entering the wound at the required rate and sequence of administration, as well as the reduction of side effects of antibiotic therapy due to local administration of drugs and, accordingly, the absence or reduction of the amount of orally or parenterally administered antibiotics.
