FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and, in particular, to laser welding of aluminium alloys. Method involves applying a nickel coating on the surfaces to be welded and welding, thickness of the coating is selected based on the ratio of the volume of the applied coating in the amount of 0.4÷0.6 % of the volume of the weld pool. Besides the edges of the welded joints perform at angle of 5÷15°.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of obtaining structures with enhanced mechanical characteristics and, as a result, in increasing the service life of products.
