FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a coated food product, in particular a food coating composition for a pet food product. Said coated food contains a gelatinized starch matrix, wherein the food product has a bulk density of not more than 420 g/l and is coated with a coating composition containing polymorphic fat and non-polymorphic fat; however, polymorphic fat contains no more than 20 % of polymorphic fat and no more than 20 % of non-polymorphic fat in the coating composition.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows to stabilize fats in a food product.
