FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel management systems for internal combustion engines. Methods are provided for controlling solenoid bypass valve 202 of a direct injection fuel pump, in which the solenoid bypass valve is energized with current and de-energized according to certain conditions. Control strategy has been proposed for operating a direct injection fuel pump when a team indicates small partial trapping volumes, with a small amount of fuel being compressed in the direct injection fuel pump. To maintain reliable and stable in positioning behavior of the solenoid bypass valve for partial volumes of capture, a method and systems have been proposed that ensure that the solenoid bypass valve is powered at a minimum angular duration below the threshold value of the volume capture.
EFFECT: invention allows to provide lubrication of the pump when the pump is operated with small volumes of captured fuel without feeding the fuel into the distributor guide for the fuel.
