FIELD: nanotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology and can be used to obtain composite materials with high electrical and thermal conductivity. Graphite rod is filled with graphite powder with addition of silicon powder at the concentration of 16.5–28 wt. % or silicon carbide in the corresponding concentration of silicon. Electric arc spraying is carried out at a constant current in an inert atmosphere at the ratio of anode areas to cathode 1:8. Reaction product is a composite consisting of graphene with an admixture of silicon carbide nanoparticles without admixture of other carbon forms.
EFFECT: invention provides high-quality graphene material in a simple way.
