FIELD: target.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polygon-based automated equipment, specifically to thermal targets-simulators of real objects with given thermal characteristics, intended for training firing in conditions of limited visibility using infrared sighting devices. Thermal target, containing target board (1), lifting mechanism (2), support device (3), device for heating of board or its separate heat-absorbing elements. Heating device is placed inside support device (3) and is made in the form of heating inductor (4) equipped with a mechanism for controlled movement inside the cavity of support device (3).

EFFECT: reduced power consumption for heating of target board or its separate specified zones with creation of thermal signature, which is adequate to real object, in absence of separate protection against damage of heating inductor and independence of heating from external atmospheric conditions.
