SUBSTANCE: invention relates to targets simulating real objects, such as tanks, for example, intended for training in shooting at moving ground objects. A target simulator of large-sized armored vehicles contains a support surface located on a movable platform with a spatial frame structure installed on it in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped frame having an upper horizontal rectangular element connected to vertical posts, and target shields placed on the side surfaces of the frame, equipped with imitation means of various signatures simulated object in the corresponding projections. The supporting surface is made with the possibility of rotation relative to the vertical axis, the connections of the vertical posts of the frame structure with the supporting surface and the upper horizontal rectangular element of the frame are made hinged to ensure rotation in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the supporting surface.

EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of the unexpected appearance of a target in a given location of the target field of a firing range/shooting range, as well as a higher degree of credibility.
