FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: use in the field of electrical engineering for the protection of ship and other autonomous electric power systems (SEPS) with parallel operating GU in case of failure of one or several of them. Method allows to solve the problem of protecting the SEPS by running the emergency generating unit (EGU) until the disappearance of the voltage in the network in the case of operation of any number of GU. According to the method of protection of the ship electric power system when one or several GUs go into a faulty state before they are turned off, they form a command to launch the EGU, provided that the SEPS is in operation mode, where disabling this (these) faulty GU(s) will lead to the disappearance of the mains voltage.
EFFECT: ensuring the launch of ADG in the event that any numbers of GUs work on the network.
