FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: use in the field of electric engineering for determination of inoperative generator set (GS) in ship electric power stations. According to the method of determining inoperative generator unit (GS) in parallel operation of several GS, loading of each of GS is measured, determining value of non-uniformity of loading GS and determining moment when value of non-uniformity of loading GS exceeds set limits of setting and increases and moment, when loading of one or several GS decreases, and loading of other GS increases, at coincidence of these moments, generating set(s) is determined, loading of which is reduced as inoperative.
EFFECT: high reliability of determining an inoperative GS during its parallel operation with other units.
