FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to proximity switches having improved switch activation. Proximity switch assembly comprises a proximity sensor and a control circuit. Proximity sensor comprises first and second electrodes. First electrode comprises first finger-like protrusions, continuing outward at different acute angles relative to each other. Second electrode comprises second finger-like protrusions, interdigitated with the first finger-like protrusions with variable spacing between them along a first direction. Control circuit processes the signal in response to the user activating the proximity sensor and determines the activation by sliding the sensor in the first direction and second direction.
EFFECT: enabling to determine the activation of a proximity switch based on the increase and decrease of the signal relative to the peak value.
