SUBSTANCE: invention relates to proximity switches. Disclosed are a proximity switch assembly and a method of detecting activation of a proximity switch assembly and generating feedback. Assembly includes a plurality of proximity switches, each of which comprises a contactless sensor which generates a detection activation field. Assembly also includes a control circuit, a processing signal associated with the field of activation of each contactless sensor, and a detecting finger located between two proximity switches. Assembly further includes a feedback device which generates feedback when a finger is detected between two proximity switches. Besides, unit can detect speed of finger movement interacting with contactless switches, and change feedback based on detected speed.
EFFECT: technical result is improved determination of switch activation and feedback.
