FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to proximity switches having an improved definition of switch activation. Vehicle proximity switch assembly comprises a rigid substrate, first and second proximity sensors, plastic material and a groove. Rigid substrate has upper and lower surfaces. First proximity sensor is mounted on the lower surface of the substrate. Second proximity sensor is mounted on the lower surface of the substrate, adjacent to the first sensor, with an area in between. Plastic material is located on the upper surface of the substrate. Groove is formed in the substrate completely in the area between the first and second proximity sensors.
EFFECT: improved use of proximity switches by the driver of the vehicle.
