FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to radiology diagnosis and rheumatology, and can be used for research in the diagnosis of inflammatory changes in the joints in juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Body MRI is performed using the Whole Body protocol using repetition time values: T1 1,000 ms, T2 412 ms, STIR cor 13,800 ms, STIR sag 19,100 ms, DWI 6,500 ms and echo time values: T1 4 ms, T2 80 ms, STIR cor 70 ms, STIR sag 70 ms, DWI 103 ms. Patient is placed on his back, his hands are placed under the pelvis, with the thumb – medially.
EFFECT: method provides an early and complete diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, especially in the small joints of the hand, while reducing the scan time due to patient positioning and repetition time and echo time values.
