FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of liquid glass. Method of producing a liquid glass involves the preparation of a mixture consisting of 80 wt. % waste production of ferrochrome silicon, representing microsilica with a particle size (10–100)⋅10-6 m containing, wt. %: SiO2 – 83–93; Al2O3 – 0.8–1.5; CaO – 1.0; MgO – 0.3; Cr2O3 – 0.2–0.5; Fe2O3 – 0.5–4.9; and 20 wt. % of additives, selected from dispersed dust produced by burning Ekibastuz coal containing, wt. %: SiO2 – 64.7; Al2O3 – 27.7; CaO – 4.7; MgO – 0.3; Cr2O3 – 1.7; or sludge of kaolin enrichment containing, wt. %: SiO2 - 66.7; Al2O3 – 21.9; K2O – 2.4. Next, an aqueous suspension of the prepared mixture is prepared in the reactor, sodium hydroxide is fed into the reactor in granular form, and the suspension is hydrothermally treated at a temperature of 70 °C and mixing at a speed of 1 rps.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the strength and water resistance of products manufactured from the resulting liquid glass.
