FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, to insulated steel-aluminum wires of high-strength and high-temperature of high strength and is made in the range of aluminum/steel nominal cross-sections 49/6–571/80 mm2. Depending on the area of an aluminum/steel nominal cross-section, a steel core design changes, which can be made in the form of one central wire, single-layer or multilayer. Single-layer or multilayer core is plastically deformed along the wire outer surfaces, reduction rate of cross-section area is 6–10 %. Around the core there are series current-conductive layers with linear contact of wires. Current-conducting layers of wires are plastically deformed along the outer surface, reduction rate by cross-section area is 10–17%.
EFFECT: invention allows the insulated steel-aluminum wire to increase breaking tension in relation to used insulated wires by 30 %, increase nominal cross-section by 18–25 %, increase wire operating temperature to 220 °C at maximum values of transmitted current, which will significantly increase efficiency of overhead line.
