FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, mainly to the coal industry, and can be used to predict the dust content of the cleared face of the working face by determining the air leaks through the cleared face of the lava and the amount of fine coal dust suspended therein. Invention includes carrying out preparatory workings in the excavation area, combining coal in the lava with a combine, a diagram of air flows in the area, measuring the flow of air in the lava and its dustiness with fine coal dust. Novelty lies in the fact that the costs of air in the network of workings and dustiness thereof are determined simultaneously when the combine is operating for coal cutting outside the slanting heights of the combine near the area workings, dust-gas-air surveys in the bottomhole space are additionally carried out along the lava; air leakage from the bottomhole space of the lava into the cleared space is set as the difference of air flow in the intervals of the nearest measurement points, and the total number, by their summation, determines the volume of air leaks through the cleared space and the amount of explosive finely dispersed coal dust suspended by the air flow and its dustiness.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the determination of the amount of coal dust suspended in the cleared space of lava, capable of exploding at a certain moment.
