METHOD FOR PREDICTING EARLY PREGNANCY OUTCOMES FOR FETUS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B5/107

Abstract RU 2684364 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiation diagnostics in obstetrics and gynaecology, and can be used for prediction of early pregnancy outcome for fetus. Ultrasonic examination is performed in the colour Doppler mapping mode on the maximum image magnification with the myometrium basal part capture by manual routing. State of trophoblastic blood flow is determined by a vascularisation coefficient (k, %) at gestation period from 8 to 11 weeks and 6 days as a ratio of the sum of areas of all sections of the chorion (Sn, cm2) in area of vascular locuses to total area of chorion (So, cm2): k = (Sn/S0) * 100 %. If k is not less than 30 %, a favourable fetal pregnancy outcome is determined. If k is less than 25 %, the risk of the unfavourable outcome is determined. If values of k are equal to 26–29 %, the situation is considered to be undefined, requiring repeated determination of k value at the pregnancy period of 12–14 weeks.

EFFECT: method enables predicting development of fetoplacental insufficiency, intrauterine growth disorders in early pregnancy by evaluating trophoblastic blood flow.
