SUBSTANCE: in the period from the 8th to 10th week 6th day, a risk of potential malformations is determined by deriving a cerebral-corporeal coefficient (CCC) that is a relation of an embryo's parietal-coccygeal length (PCL) to a distance from a crown apex (Ca) to a mental protuberance (Mp). If the CCC is less than 1.6 mm or more than 2.6 mm, a pregnant woman is referred to a risk group of congenital malformations of the foetus. In the risk group, in the period of 13th-14th week 6th day, foetus echocardiography with Doppler colour flow mapping (DCFM) is performed. If observing an abnormal ultrasonic presentation of a four chamber cardiac view and a triple vessel view, including vena cava, aorta, pulmonary artery: the absence of two DCFM blood flows, mosaic colouring of the flows with a velocity scale of 45-70 cm/s, the presence of the U-flow, a coarse cardiovascular pathology (ectocardia, univentricular heart, atrioventricular canal, extensive ventricular septal defects, abnormal major vessels) is predicted. The abnormal ultrasonic presentation of a foetus's head cross-section, including hazy visualisation of skull bones and vascular plexuses, congenital malformations of the central nervous system are predicted.

EFFECT: method enables providing the more effective prediction of congenital malformations of the foetus by detecting the risk groups in the early stages of pregnancy.
