SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Said technical result is achieved in that the method comprises performing measurement, determining the discreteness of the measurement report to be used; and sending a measurement report to the network node encoded based on the determined discreteness of the measurement report. Before determining the discreteness of the measurement report to be used, the wireless device informs the network node of the wireless device's ability to send measurement reports coded based on a variety of different measurement reports discretisations; after informing the network node of the capabilities of the wireless device and before determining the discreteness of the measurement report to be used, the wireless device receives from the network node the desired resolution of the measurement report.
EFFECT: technical result is high location accuracy.
