METHOD FOR TREATING PROGRESSIVE MYOPIA IN CHILDREN WITH DETECTABLY REGULAR EPACTAL TENSION OF ACCOMMODATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61F9/00 A61K31/137 A61P27/10 A61K31/5575 A61P27/06

Abstract RU 2685499 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for treating progressive myopia in children with regular epactal tension of accommodation. Treatment is applied in form of 2.5 % solution Phenylephrine-Irifrin in 1 drops in evening for 1 month. If observing a combination of regular epactal tension and accommodation weakness, characterized by values of accommodative response coefficients less than 0.4 and microfluctuations coefficients more than 65, according to cumulative incubation data, additionally measuring corneal-compensated intraocular pressure taking into account viscous-elastic properties of the cornea. When determining values of intraocular pressure corresponding to the upper value of norm of 21 mm Hg and higher, ophthalmic hypertensia syndrome of accommodation overstrain is detected. Thereafter, installation of 0.005 % Latanoprost-Prolatan solution is added to treatment for 1 drop in evening for 1 month.

EFFECT: method provides normalization of ophthalmotonus and improvement of functional state of accommodative eye apparatus, which is manifested by stabilization of myopia as a result of combined use of Phenylephrine-Irifrin and Latanoprost-Prolatan.
