METHOD FOR PREDICTING MYOPIA PROGRESSION IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B3/09 A61B3/16

Abstract RU 2688710 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for prediction of myopia progression in children. Method is carried out by computer-assisted cumulative method, based on the results of which coefficients of accommodative response and microfluctuations are calculated in order to detect habitual excess tension and accommodation instability. If observing habitual excessive tension of accommodation with background of accommodation weakness characterized by value of accommodative response coefficient less than 0.4 and value of microfluctuations coefficient more than 65, as well as in corneal-compensated intraocular pressure value considering viscoelastic properties of cornea from 18 mm Hg and higher, ophthalmic hypertension syndrome of accommodation overexposure is diagnosed and myopia progression is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides higher measurement accuracy of ophthalmotonus in children with myopia as a result of determining functional state of accommodation apparatus in relation to level of intraocular pressure.
