METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF HABITUAL EXCESSIVE TENSION OF ACCOMMODATION (HETA) Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61F9/07 A61B3/00

Abstract RU 2838551 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Anamnesis is collected, autorefractometry and computed accommodation are performed. If observing a history of progressive decrease in distance visual acuity, reduced vision in previously selected spectacle or contact correction, growth of myopic refraction, according to autorefractometry with a narrow pupil and in conditions of cycloplegia in comparison with data of previous examinations, presence of an accommodative microfluctuation coefficient (CMF) higher than 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA combined with progressive myopia. If observing a history of the absence of the use of adequately selected optical correction means, according to autorefractometry, the presence of hyperopic refraction and astigmatism, presence of CMF above 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA with underlying uncorrected hyperopic refraction and astigmatism. If observing a history of the absence of the use of adequately selected means of optical correction of vision, according to autorefractometry, difference of refraction between right and left eye of 1.0 diopters and more, presence of CMF above 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA with underlying anisometropia. If observing a history of age older than 35 years, any type of refraction abnormality, according to autorefractometry, presence of CMF above 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA in pre-presbyopic age. If observing a history of the use of psychotropic drugs, any type of refractive error, according to autorefractometry, presence of CMF above 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA in patients taking psychotropic drugs. If observing a history of refractive laser surgery for last 2 weeks, the presence of myopic refraction, according to autorefractometry, presence of CMF above 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA as a consequence of acute ciliary stress after keratorefractive surgeries. If observing a history of progressive vision loss, reduced vision in the previously selected spectacle or contact correction, difficulties in selecting means of optical correction of vision, progressive growth of myopic refraction and astigmatism, according to autorefractometry data during dynamic examinations, presence of CMF above 62, according to computer accommodography, this condition is classified as HETA in patients with keratoconus.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform differential diagnosis of habitual excessive tension of accommodation, to reflect reasons and mechanisms of development of pathological functioning of accommodation apparatus of eye in certain diseases and conditions of visual organ, promotes a differentiated approach in choosing the methods of treating this type of accommodation disorders.
