FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of a segment for air flow direction for a smoking article. Method for manufacturing a segment for guiding air flow for a smoking article includes steps of feeding a substantially continuous sheet of material, wherein the sheet material has a first longitudinal edge and a second longitudinal edge; applying glue on first side of sheet material, adjacent to first edge of sheet material; forming sheet material into channel; forming a channel from sheet material into a closed tube, wherein the first edge is overlapped on the second edge; compressing the tube from the sheet material for gluing the first side of the first edge to the second side of the second edge; feeding at least one substantially continuous porous material around the molded tube from the sheet material to form a substantially continuous segment for guiding the air flow; and cutting, in fact, a continuous segment for directing air flow for forming separate segments for air flow direction.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of method, which makes it possible to more efficient manufacture of segments for air flow direction for smoking products.
