SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multi-segment component for an aerosol generating article, wherein the multi-segment component comprises a combustible heat source; substrate forming an aerosol located downstream of the combustible heat source; and a wrapper surrounding a combustible heat source along at least a portion of its length; wherein the multi-segment component further comprises an inflatable layer disposed between the combustible heat source and the wrapper and surrounding the combustible heat source, the swelling layer being formed of a swelling inorganic adhesive.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing an improved confinement of the heat source.
