FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology, and can be used for prediction of development of gestational diabetes mellitus in females with androids type of obesity. That is ensured by determining a body weight index (BWI) in a pregnant woman, while the blood is examined for content of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and adiponectin and with content of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) in blood serum of less than 20 ng/ml and adiponectin less than 10 ng/ml and BMI more than 30 kg/m2 predicting development of gestational diabetes mellitus.
EFFECT: method enables simplifying a technique for predicting developing gestational diabetes by determining three factors in a single visit of an obstetrician-gynecologist in the context of follow-up care.
