FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to endocrinology and obstetrics, and aims at predicting the risk of developing gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in pregnant women. Method comprises collecting anamnestic data: age of patient, years, – A; number of pregnancies in past history is B; prepregnancy body weight index – C. Level of leptin – D and c-peptide – E. is determined. Molecular genetic analysis of polymorphous variants of insulin resistance genes KCNJ11 – F, PPARG – G, TCF7L2 IVS4 – H. Prognostic index is calculated by formula X=-17.2 + A*0.036 + B*0.57 + C*0.051 + D*0.088 + E*0.54 + F*1.34 + G*0.72 + H*0.38.
EFFECT: invention enables detecting a risk of GDM in pregnant women.
