FIELD: control systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of alkyd resins, particularly to a method of automatic control of polycondensation. Method of controlling polycondensation process in the production of alkyd resins consists in the fact that during synthesis the formed reaction water, is removed from the reaction zone using xylene, forming with reaction water an azeotropic mixture, then the azeotropic mixture is successively supplied to the heat exchangers-condensers and to the separation vessel, where the azeotrope condensates and is separated into reaction water and xylene, after which xylene is returned to the reactor through the overflow pipe, during the polycondensation process, after every 15 seconds, the value of active resistance Rp of the reaction mass is automatically measured and transmitted to the analysis and control unit, where is compared with values of standard curve prepared in advance, using averaged results of 15–20 polycondensation processes, when the obtained value Rp deviates from the standard value, return xylene is supplied from the storage container to the reactor, system is configured so that at reduced at some moments of polycondensation speed controlled supply of return xylene to reactor recovers stoichiometric ratio of xylene-reaction water, and device for implementation of this method.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of controlling the polycondensation process in the production of alkyd resins and a device for realizing said method.
