FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for controlling polycondensation step in the production of alkyd varnishes. Essence of the invention lies in the fact that the polycondensation step control method in the alkyd varnishes production involves using the measurements of the reaction mass electrophysical parameters, wherein control of the polycondensation step is carried out by continuous measurement of the current value of active resistance Rp reaction mass and tangent of dielectric loss angle tgδ of reaction mass, wherein in parallel, with interval of 0.5 hours, sampling reaction mass and their laboratory analysis, at sampling, measuring values of Rp and reaction mass tgδ, according to measurement results and laboratory analyzes, graphs of relationship between measurement results and certain values of viscosity of reaction mass are plotted and obtained dependences of values Rp and tgδ and viscosity for control of polycondensation step in the production of alkyd varnishes, wherein attaining values of Rp and tgδ, at which the reaction mass viscosity value corresponds to the required by the regulations, serves as a polycondensation stage completion signal.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a safe, fast, continuous method based on continuous measurement of electrophysical parameters of analyzed substances.
