SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a double-circuit engine cooling system. Disclosed are methods and systems for providing a double-circuit cooling system used to control transmission engine oil temperature. In one example, the high-temperature cooling circuit comprises a first heat exchanger and a control valve located upstream of the first heat exchanger, coolant flow in it is separated from the second low-temperature cooling circuit containing the second heat exchanger. Engine fluid circuitry couples first heat exchanger, second heat exchanger and engine system component by bypass valve arranged between first heat exchanger and second heat exchanger.
EFFECT: invention provides control over transmission oil temperature.
