FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring amount of atmospheric precipitation and can be used for prevention of rapidly developing emergency situations. Summary: system comprises precipitation meter, storage device, data processing and transmission unit. Precipitation meter is made in the form of reservoir (1) for collection of precipitations with drain unit (5–7) in the lower part, with a cover in the form of grate (3) in the upper part. At that, on one side of reservoir (1) thermometer (8) with reading device (9) of laser type is located, and on other side of reservoir (1) there is laser device (11) for reading of sedimentation level in reservoir.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of measuring amount of precipitation, high accuracy of predicting fast-developing emergency situations.
