FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil refining, in particular to a method for producing a bituminous binder, used as a basis for polymer-modified bitumen, intended for the production of roll roofing material. Method involves the oxidation of the “darkened” product of vacuum distillation of fuel oil, which is a “darkened” product of vacuum distillation of fuel oil with a total content of paraffin-naphthenic and light aromatic hydrocarbons of 28–39 wt.%. At the same time, before oxidation, it is additionally injected with tar, which has a conventional viscosity at 80 °C 70–150 s, containing not more than 7 % by weight of asphaltenes at a ratio of “darkened” product : tar equal to 60–90:10–40, and the components are mixed at a temperature of 100–150 °C.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to obtain a bitumen binder for the production of high-quality roll bitumen-polymer roofing material with good ductility, having a high resistance to bleeding oil fractions at temperatures above 40 °C.
