FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil refining, particularly to a method of producing bitumen used both independently, for example, as a roofing tile, and as a component of flexible tiles. Method involves vacuum distillation of fuel oil to obtain slop, its oxidation with atmospheric oxygen at high temperature. At that, vacuum distillation of fuel oil is carried out at residual pressure in the top of column of 1.30–1.99 kPa, with extraction of slop, boiling out in range of 486–620 °C with relative viscosity at 80 °C within 30–100 s.
EFFECT: increased depth of oil processing with production of oxidised bitumen with high softening temperature, plasticity, wide range of operating temperatures and thermal stability from slop with higher temperatures of the beginning and end of boiling, increased environmental safety of production.
