SUBSTANCE: invention refers to resuscitation and intensive care. If observing hemolysis, which is determined at blood serum free hemoglobin level more than 0.05 g/dl, nitrogen oxide NO in amount of 40 ppm is supplied to main line for delivery of gas-air mixture of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation apparatus. That NO protocol is then preserved with the level of free hemoglobin more than 0.05 g/dl. NO supply to the extracorporeal circulation circuit is stopped with the reduction of haemolysis intensity and free serum hemoglobin level less than 0.05 g/dl.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the incidence of acute renal injury in patients requiring extracorporeal life support and improving the results of the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation procedures.
