METHOD FOR DETERMINING A RISK OF INTRAUTERINE FETUS INFECTION IN FEMALES SUFFERING INFLUENZA A(H1N1) IN PREGNANCY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/48

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to infectious diseases, obstetrics, and can be used in laboratory diagnostics for selecting a pregnancy management approach and reducing the risk of intrauterine infection of a newborn. That is ensured by the interleukin-4 (IL-4), interferon gamma (IFN-γ) in blood serum and by the number of weeks of pregnancy at the moment of sample sampling, a risk factor (RF) of intrauterine infection (IUI) is determined by formula RF= PW×IFN-γ/IL4, where PW is pregnancy week at sampling moment; IFN-y is the IFN-γ in blood serum, IL4 – serum blood serum IL4, and in the RF corresponding to range of 0.6–7.0, the low degree of the IUI is detected, with RF in range of 7.1–17.3 – average degree of risk, and with RF not less than 17.4 – high risk of developing IUI in newborn.

EFFECT: method enables predicting a risk of intrauterine infection of a newborn and distinguishing among pregnant women by the degree of severity of the risk of developing IUI of newborns, reducing complications, mortality, length of hospital stay of the mother and child.
