METHOD FOR LABORATORY DIAGNOSTICS OF INTRAUTERINE INFECTION Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC G01N33/48 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with the method for laboratory diagnostics of intrauterine infection (IUI) that enables to predict the flow of the present pathology during pregnancy period. It is necessary to detect in blood serum the concentration of interleukin 8 (IL-8), interferons α and γ (INF-α, INF-γ) due to immunoenzymatic assay and cerruloplasmin due to turbidimetric technique. Based upon mathematical treatment of the obtained results due to discriminant analysis it has been elaborated the rules of laboratory diagnostics of IUI I pregnant women dealing with detecting diagnostic index (D) by the following formula: D=X1·K₁+X2·K₂+X3·K₃+X4·K₄+const, where X values correspond to the following immunological parameters: X1 - interleukin 8, pg/ml; X2 - the level of interferon-γ, pg/ml; X3 - the quantity of interferon-α, pg/ml; X4 - the quantity of cerruloplasmin, mg/dl; K₁=0.05; K₂=0.01; K₃=0.01; K₄=0.03 and const=-3.32. The innovation enables to detect the group of risk on developing IUI in pregnant women.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
