SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of extracting paraxylene from at least two feed streams containing xylene isomers. Method includes: feeding to paraxylene recovery zone of paraxylene-depleted feed stream, characterized by ratio of paraxylene to all xylene isomers of 0.50 or less, wherein the para-xylene recovery zone comprises at least one crystallisation zone and at least one resuspension zone; sending to paraxylene recovery zone of paraxylene enriched feed stream, characterized by the ratio of paraxylene to all xylene isomers greater than 0.50; and extraction of paraxylene-containing product stream from paraxylene extraction zone, characterized by paraxylene ratio to all xylene isomers large, than that of paraxylene-enriched feed stream, wherein at least the re-suspending zone comprises at least one step of increasing efficiency and a step for producing the product after at least one step of increasing efficiency, wherein the step of increasing efficiency is a first re-suspending step, which gives the intermediate step product, and the product producing step is a subsequent re-suspending step, which gives the finished product; and at least a portion of the paraxylene-enriched feed stream is directed to the product production step, and at least a portion of the paraxylene-depleted feed stream is directed to at least one crystallisation zone.
EFFECT: method provides improved efficiency of paraxylene recovery and/or economic efficiency.
