SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making cylindrical semi-products which produce an aerosol, which includes steps of combining cylindrical segments having a longitudinal axis, end face to end along a longitudinal first path, at that, along the first movement path, the flow supply stages are performed from at least three different segments along the first movement path with arrangement of at least three different segments with the end face to the end face and in alternating order, wherein one of the at least three different segments is an aerosol forming substrate; wrapping flow from at least three different segments with sheet material to form a continuous rod of segments; cutting of continuous rod of segments with separation of continuous rod of segments into wrapped rods of segments; processing of wrapped rods of segments along the second path of movement, at that along the second path of movement the stage is performed – reception of wrapped rods of segments in grooves of the receiving drum with grooves, wherein the first movement path end is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the grooves of the receiving drum with grooves; wherein longitudinal axis of segments in continuous rod of segments are located parallel to direction of movement along first path of movement, and wherein longitudinal segments axis in segmented wrapped rods is located perpendicular to direction of movement along second movement path: cutting of wrapped rod of segments with separation of segmented wrapped rod into two parts; separation of two parts of the cut-in wrapped rod of segments from each other along the longitudinal segments of the segments of the segmented wrapped rod.
