FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ceramic welding flux and can be used for welding and surfacing with stainless steel tape during production, in particular, of equipment for oil and gas processing, systems of hydrocarbons transportation. Agglomerated flux contains components in the following ratio, wt. %: SiO2 28–33; CaO 6–8; MgO 27–32; Al2O3 13–18; CaF2 8–12; Cr - not less than 3. Chromium source used is chromite sand, having the following chemical composition, wt. %: Cr2O3 46.80; Fe2O3 28.90; Al2O3 14.60; MgO 9.59; SiO2 0.36; CaO 0.05.
EFFECT: flux possesses high welding-process properties, provides increased resistance of metal of welds and welds to intercrystalline corrosion, considerable reduction of effect of embrittlement of weld metal and build-up welding, and as a result, increased quality and service life of welded and melted seam in wide range of temperatures.
