FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanized arc-welding and surfacing of steels with flux. Flux contains pulverized ladle slag of rail steel production mixed with liquid glass and flux additive consisting of carbon-fluorine-containing material mixed with liquid glass at following ratio, wt%: carbon-fluorine-containing material 40–60, liquid sodium glass 40–60. Flux components are taken in the following ratio, wt%: pulverized ladle slag from rail steel production 53–63, liquid sodium glass 35–37, flux additive 2–10.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of chemical separation of metal during surfacing under layer of flux, reduction of contamination of steel with non-metallic inclusions, increased level of wear resistance of built-up layer of metal, increased hardness of built-up layer.
