SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of rail vehicles and can be used to track speed of railway transport. Substance of the group of inventions consists in the fact that the device for measuring rotation speed of a railway transport vehicle wheel comprises a static and a movable assemblies, wherein static assembly comprises magnetically sensitive sensor arranged inside housing configured to be mounted on axle box assembly of railway transport, and movable assembly comprises permanent magnet arranged inside housing configured to be mounted on railway vehicle pair, wherein static and movable assemblies are made so that during their installation magnetically sensitive sensor is located in homogeneous magnetic field of permanent magnet.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring rotation speed of a railway transport wheel.
