STABILIZING CONNECTING DEVICES FOR VASCULAR ACCESS AND THEIR APPLICATION METHODS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61M25/00 A61M25/01 A61M25/06 A61M5/152 A61M5/158

Abstract RU 2780715 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical devices, more specifically to devices for connection and/or stabilization of vascular access devices, such as intravenous catheters and/or related devices. A stabilizing connecting device for a vascular access device includes a connecting section and a stabilizing section. The connecting section has a distal coupling and a proximal coupling containing a device for fluid flow control. The connecting section forms a lumen passing between the distal coupling and the proximal coupling. The distal coupling is configured to be connected to a sleeve of the access device inserted at least partially into a patient at a predetermined angle relatively to a place of insertion into the patient. The lumen of the connecting section is in communication via fluid with a lumen formed by the access device, when the distal coupling is connected to the sleeve. The stabilizing section is made as a single whole with at least part of the connecting section. The stabilizing section is configured with the possibility of contact with the patient, when the distal coupling is connected to the sleeve of the access device to stabilize at least one of the connecting section or the access device. The connecting section is placed at a predetermined angle, when the stabilizing section is in contact with the patient, so that the common axis passes through the lumen formed by the connecting section and at least part of the lumen formed by the access device. In accordance with the second embodiment of the stabilizing connecting device for the vascular access device, the stabilizing section has a main surface. Part of the main surface is configured to be in contact with the patient, when the distal coupling is connected to the sleeve of the access device in such a way that (1) the stabilizing section stabilizes at least one of the connecting section or the access device, and (2) the common axis passes through the lumen formed by the connecting section and at least part of the lumen formed by the access device. The main surface forms a recess configured to be aligned with the vein and spaced away from the patient, when part of the main surface is in contact with the patient. In accordance with the third embodiment of the stabilizing connecting device for the vascular access device, the connecting section is placed at a predetermined angle, when the distal coupling is connected to the sleeve of the access device, and part of the main surface is in contact with the patient, so that the common axis passes through the lumen formed by the connecting section and at least part of the lumen formed by the access device.

EFFECT: inventions provide sufficient stabilization, are not complicated, and do not require much time in application.
