FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refractory industry, in particular, to production of large-size ceramic quartz crucibles for melting and growing of germanium monocrystals used in semiconductor industry. Method of producing quartz crucibles involves obtaining a highly concentrated suspension of quartz glass, stabilizing it, molding the crucible by casting into a porous mold, drying and annealing. According to the invention, a layer of the following composition, wt%: boron nitride 25, quartz glass 75 is applied on the inner surface of the dried crucible by the method of slip casting. Crucification annealing is performed in nitrogen medium.
EFFECT: obtaining quartz crucibles with a homogeneous inner layer (coating) with minimum germination of the crucible inner layer by the germanium melt, which increases quality of germanium crystals.
