FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to refractory industry, namely, to production of large-size quartz crucibles, which may be used in production of semi-conductor materials. Method of quartz crucibles production includes preparation of highly concentrated suspension of quartz glass, its stabilisation, casting into porous mold, drying and baking. At that after casting into porous mold additionally suspension of synthetic dioxide of silicon prepared by means of hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride is applied onto prepared quartz crucible by method of slip casting.
EFFECT: provides possibility to manufacture quartz synthetic crucibles of wide assortment, including crucibles of large size and increase of purity of synthetic quartz crucibles.
