FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modernization of ammonia production plants, particularly, to modernization of steam system of ammonia producing plant equipped with steam system. Proposed plant comprises, at least, high pressure section operating at first pressure and medium pressure section operating at second pressure below first pressure. Method includes providing at least one recovery of additional heat by a steam flow with a third pressure intermediate between a first pressure and a second pressure, and providing a supply line to the steam side adapted to feed at least a portion of said steam stream with third pressure outside the ammonia production plant.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining an additional amount of steam returned from the process and use thereof in said plant.
