METHOD OF DETECTING ACTIVATION ZONES FOR ASSESSMENT OF BRAIN CONTROL FUNCTIONS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/55

Abstract RU 2688993 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to neurology and beam diagnostics, and can be used for detection of activation zones corresponding to cerebral control functions. That is followed by functional magnetic resonance tomography (MRI) of the brain with block design. Performing scanning during execution of eight units with alternation of rest unit and activation unit in number of 10 scans for each unit. Rest unit is carried out with closed eyes, and the periods of the activation unit correspond to performance by a voice command of the test persons of the serial account to themselves from one and more with omission of numbers which are multiples of three. That is followed by processing obtained 80 scans in the T2* mode with colour mapping of the activation zones corresponding to the cerebral control functions, by intensifying the signal intensity and then superimposing the activation zones obtained in the T2* map mode on the cerebral volume reconstruction.

EFFECT: method widens the range of technical means for detecting cerebral activation zones corresponding to its control functions, and evaluating them, providing attention and control of voluntary activity for switching stages of cognitive operations when performing a task with high reliability by performing fMRI of brain with block design, using serial count and overlapping in mode T2* maps activation zones for 3D brain reconstruction obtained in 3D-T1 mode.
