FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ultrasonic flow meters which can be used to measure volumetric flow rate of liquids, gases, gas-liquid mixtures and liquids containing undissolved solid particles. Ultrasonic flow meter-counter of volumetric flow rate and volume of fluid media flows comprises a measuring chamber and ultrasonic transducers with a cylindrical piezoelectric element in an axisymmetric housing, also comprises at least one transmitting and two receiving ultrasonic transducers, each ultrasonic transducer comprises a periodic structure, adjacent elements of which have an acoustic or electrical phase shift, located between the piezoelectric element and the radiation plane or the piezoelectric element and the receiving plane, elements of periodic structure of transmitting ultrasonic transducer are parallel to elements of periodic structure of receiving ultrasonic transducers, and the ultrasonic transducers are arranged normally to the axis of the pipeline with each receiving ultrasonic transducer offset relative to the transmitting ultrasonic transducer along the axis of the pipeline, wherein between the axes of symmetry of the housings of the ultrasonic transducers and the line connecting the centres of the emitting plane of the transmitting and receiving planes of the receiving ultrasonic transducers, there is an angle α, which is a value determined by the period of the periodic structure of the elements, the speed of the ultrasonic wave in the measured flow and the operating frequency of the ultrasonic transducers, wherein two receiving ultrasonic transducers are located on the wall of the measuring chamber opposite to the transmitting ultrasonic transducer with displacement downstream and upstream, that is, on different sides relative to the transmitting ultrasonic transducer by a value determined by the inner diameter of the pipeline and the angle α.
EFFECT: reduced error, increased dynamic range, reduced dimensions of the device and simplified design and manufacturing technology.
