IMPROVED MEMBRANE ASSEMBLY WITH DEFORMABLE MEMBRANE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G02B3/14 G02C7/08

Abstract RU 2689279 C2

FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: membrane assembly with a deformable membrane comprises an elastic membrane which is attached under tension along the circumference of its edge to a flexible support element for supporting the membrane, a fluid layer which is in contact with one of the sides of the membrane and the pressure of which is controlled to adjust the shape of the membrane, thereby causing expansion of the membrane. Support element is made with possibility of bending by localized deviation along main bending axis, parallel to direction of membrane stretching, to change profile of membrane edge at its extension. Membrane assembly also includes one or more bending regulators acting on the support element to regulate its bending in the plane passing along the normal line to the main bending axis in response to the load caused by the membrane tension.

EFFECT: technical result is providing sufficient pre-tension of membrane to reduce sag and wrinkles of membrane with simultaneous reduction of distortion of membrane shape.
