FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of rare elements and can be used for extraction from aqueous solutions of gallium and germanium, including for their subsequent determination. Sorption extraction of rare elements from aqueous solutions is carried out. Sorption is carried out in static conditions with a sorbent based on titanium dioxide while maintaining a certain pH value and separating the sorbent. Titanium dioxide-based sorbent used is mechanically activated rutile with crystallite size less than 20 nm. Sorption is carried out at sorbent: solution ratio T:L = 1:500. Ultrasonic treatment is carried out in the frequency range of 30–35 kHz for at least 30 minutes.

EFFECT: method increases sorbent sorption capacity.
