FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of composite material suitable for photosorption treatment of waste water and extraction of rare metals. Method of producing composite material based on carbon nitride and titanium dioxide involves thermal decomposition of melamine in one reaction zone with titanium dioxide. First, a mixture of titanium dioxide and melamine is homogenised in distilled water, added in ratio of 1:5 with respect to the dry mixture, under the action of ultrasound for 10 minutes and dried at 80 °C for 2 hours. Ratio of weight of titanium dioxide to melamine is from 1:4 to 1:6. Then annealing is carried out in a closed crucible in air at 550–600 °C for 4 hours at a heating rate of 8–10 °C/min.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a composite material based on graphite-like carbon nitride and titanium dioxide g-C3N4/TiO2, capable of sorption under action of electromagnetic radiation in the visible and ultraviolet range.
