FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing an adsorbent based on zeolite-containing rock. Disclosed is a method of producing an adsorbent for chromatographic separation of furfural and furfuryl alcohol. Zeolite-containing rock is milled to a powdery state, fractions with size of 20–50 mcm are screened, dried, thermally treated, washed, mixed with binder-gypsum, dispersed and applied on a substrate. According to method drying is carried out at 100–120 °C, and heat treatment - at 350–400 °C. After thermal treatment, the product is treated with hydrochloric acid, washed with distilled water, dried, mixed with gypsum, zinc oxide is added as an indicator of ultraviolet exposure. Then the product is dispersed in distilled water and applied on a thin-layer plate of inert material. Obtained adsorbent is dried at temperature increase from 20 to 120 °C at speed from 2 to 5 °C per minute.
EFFECT: technical result is increased sorption capacity of adsorbent and facilitation of its application on thin-layer plates.
